Terms of use
Use the tool to transcribe recordings you are entitled to process. Review the result before relying on it.
The service
Record to Notes provides browser-based transcription of supported local files. Single-file text, copying and standard exports are free. Device, browser, file and network limitations can prevent a task from completing. The service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
Your recordings and results
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process your recordings. You retain your rights to your content. The local tool does not publish your transcript. Choosing Save to Notion keeps a temporary draft on this device; confirmed imports send text and metadata to the collection service.
Speech recognition and generated timestamps can be wrong. Check important passages against the recording. Export before leaving the page; we cannot restore a result discarded from browser memory.
Free captions and optional paid transcription
The invited service saves video transcripts to your Notion. Original captions are free without a site account. Saving to Notion is free and requires sign-in, subject to daily fair-use limits. Cloud transcription and top-ups are not open for new orders. The following billing rules apply to historical paid orders. Paid cloud transcription requires an invited account and costs $0.005 per original audio minute, rounded up to a cent per task. A quote is shown before paid processing. Balance is reserved on confirmation and charged when the complete transcript is available to download. Failed acquisition or transcription releases the reservation. A failed Notion delivery can be retried without another processing charge while the result remains available.
Service balance starts at $5, has no expiry, and is used only for this service. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. For refunds, billing errors or unavailable service, contact [email protected] with your payment reference. Statutory rights are unaffected. Downloadable results expire after 7 days; saved Notion pages remain under your control. Processing speed and automatic recognition accuracy are not guaranteed.
Acceptable use and changes
Do not abuse the website or attempt to disrupt its availability. Features and supported formats may change. The free local tool and invited cloud service have different processing and retention behavior.
